History
Formed through the merger of Panmure Gordon and Liberum in May 2024, Panmure Liberum is the UK's largest independent investment bank. With 165 years of combined history, from Panmure Gordon's founding in 1876 by Harry Panmure Gordon to Liberum's establishment in 2007, we have advised companies and investors through some of Britain's most defining market cycles.
Our heritage is deeply rooted in UK public markets, built across decades of company advice, investor relationships, research insight and execution capability through varying market conditions. That continuity of experience shapes how we advise today: with perspective, discipline and a pragmatic understanding of how boards, founders and investors make decisions.
