Why did you join Panmure Gordon?

Panmure Gordon is an entrepreneurial and dynamic business.  Individual teams are allowed to make decisions about their own business areas to ensure we are constantly meeting the needs of our clients.  It is great to know there is a supportive management team and shareholder base behind the business with a long-term vision.  When I interviewed for the role, I was impressed by the high calibre of the people I met and am now working with.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

No day is the same! Today I might be giving advice to a client on raising more equity, tomorrow I will be writing a marketing document and helping them design their website and the day after I will be building a financial model.

It is about the people.  Since we spend so many hours in the office you want to work with nice people, which is the case at Panmure Gordon.

Why did you decide to work in corporate finance rather than another area of investment banking?

There are very few roles where at a young age you influence the decisions made by CEOs/CFOs of FTSE companies.  It is really satisfying seeing a deal announced, reading about it in the papers and knowing that you have helped your client.
